Click here to view Hervey Bay experiences

Whales come to Hervey Bay,Queensland to be viewed for three months of the year - August to October. They are returning from their annual migration north during the antipodean winter and have already covered 5,000 kilometres by the time they arrive in Hervey Bay for a rest.

Some will be mothers travelling with calves. Various boats take visitors out for a look at the whales and rules have been laid down to preserve the safety of these huge mammals.
